What’s the difference between blue ray dvds and Hd dvds? Capacity wise, bluray dvds are able to hold more space on them, whether it is necessary or not, it couldn’t be a bad thing. But most importantly, HD-Dvds are pretty much dead. Almost all film companies have stopped producing hd-dvds and the only major producer (Toshiba) has stopped producing them. Major stores like Wal-Mart and such have already stopped stocking them. BR is the better quality optical format and the winner of the format war.
